A side effect of generating ultrasonic sound waves is also generating warmth. Even if you don't turn the heating on, the water temperature in the tank will rise when the machine is working.
Obviously this means you need to be mindful of not letting the water get too hot and distorting the record. A good practice might be setting the temperature to around 25-30 degrees centigrade and then keeping a watchful eye on the temperature display on the machine after a cleaning cycle of around 20 minutes.
