Does my 6 ltr tank hold 6 ltrs of fluid?

Should I add 6 ltr of solution?

All our ultrasonic cleaners are given a size in litres: 3, 6, 10, 15, 22, 27 and upwards.

The number (in litres) given to each size of tank represents (approximately) the theoretical volume if you multiply the internal depth x width x length of the tank.

For example, a 3 ltr machine tank measures internally: 240 x 137 x 100 = 3.2 ltr. The size is rounded down to a 3 Ltr ultrasonic tank.

A 6 ltr machine tank measures internally: 300 x 153 x 150 = 6.8 ltr. The size is rounded down to a 6 Ltr ultrasonic tank.

A 22 ltr machine tank measures internally: 495 x 295 x 150 = 21.9 ltr. The size is rounded up to a 22 Ltr ultrasonic tank.

The bottom of the tank is radiused which reduces the overall volume. You never fill the tank to the top. In reality you might put 2.2 ltrs of fluid in a 3 ltr tank. Or 4.5 ltr in a 6 Ltr tank.
